Who am I?

My name is Joe Borsch. I am a multi-sensory artist working through light and sound who is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania now splitting my time between there and Boston, MA where I currently live. I am passionate about storytelling, collaboration, and building a sense of community through multi-sensory artistic expression.

For me, the most powerful moments in storytelling are when the light, sound, text, and action all converge into something resonant and unforgettable. These are the moments that I chase: the moments where technical precision is done in the spirit of art, and leaves the audience with an experience they can carry with them.

The scope of my work mostly lives in sound engineering, sales consulting, and production management for corporate, concerts, and government engagements, but I am equally passionate about bringing light to theatre, dance, and opera. I do not see light or sound as separate careers, rather just two different perspectives in the same conversation. My goal now is centered around bringing those two worlds together.

I am a committed lifelong learner who is passionate about staying agile in a rapidly evolving landscape of technology, design, and multimedia. But more than anything, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. Every conversation and new engagement makes me a better collaborator and a more informed artist.

There is a never a day where I have let curiosity or experimentation escape me. I never stop learning.
